one thing that i have always noticed even when i was a jw is that the jw org has lots and lots and lots of rules for allsorts of stupid petty rules which make no difference.
when you read the bible you see how they are clearly in the wrong here and are acting like the pharisees themselves, who imposed so much pressure on others to conform to the law.
am i missing something here!?!?
I usually left the KH and committed fornication with the first man willing to hold my hand during a prayer. I mean--that's HOT.
You were able to wait until after you'd left the KH? I could barely keep my hands off Just Ron, and I'd often have to pull him into the supply closet for a quickie after the opening prayer.

my wife, a jehovahs witness, buys our daughter valentines and lollipops with a valentines day theme.
she then takes the time to put them together the night before valentines day and sends them with our daughter to school on valentines day.
what would you think of such a jehovahs witness?.
I'd say that she has real issues with the religion, and doesn't want to actually abide by all the rules. That's a good thing, because for her to be an uber-dub would be horrible. But it must be frustrating to see her cling to some parts of the crazy while abandoning others.
i was driving home the other night and felt god say to me that i needed a fresh anointing.. .
i came home and told my landlady what happened to me.
the first thing she said was "how do you get a fresh anointing?
Maybe you can get one where they do spray tans.
there is always at least 2 or 3 really crazy persons in the kingdom hall.
the kind of person that when they raise their hand the speaker on stage knows he's taking a gamble if he calls on them - yet he can't discriminate.. anyhow, i remember one time a younger brother was doing sound and one of those crazy brothers was about to give his 5 minute talk (i forget what number that was, prior to them just reading scripture).
the crazy brother slipped the young brother doing sound a cd and said "play this when i get on stage".. well, he gets up on stage and all of a sudden hawaiian music starts playing... the man on stage just starts dancing.
One time in the old KH there was a mouse running across the platform, up the drapes, and across the top behind the speaker. I don't remember where the mouse ended up. Another time, a woodchuck or something was living under the hall,, and it got in a scuffle with another critter during meeting. We could hear them fighting and banging up against the floorboards.
i know guys who work so they have some money.
but only buy their partner of 3 years the token $12 dollar single rose for valentines....other partners have given teddy bear $50 plus a nice card $5 and box of roses $60.. so come on guys why soooo cheap!!!
i would be toooo embarrased to give that to my girl who treats me sooo nice..
Do the chcolates taste better on feb14 at full price or feb 15 when bought at half price?

I dyed my cats pink one year. They did not like it.
i had a conversation with my daughter tonight that got me pretty upset, and i'm wondering if i'm expecting too much from my kids.. both my kids went to outstanding colleges, have landed very well-paying jobs, and have very bright financial futures ahead of them.
this makes me especially happy because my husband and i have always had to struggle financially (we both grew up jws and never got to go to college.
) it was a sacrifice for us to send them to college, but i would do it all again in a heartbeat.
I expect to take care of my Mom when she needs me. We already do stuff to help her out. But it's nothing that really costs me money - just time and effort. I don't know that I will ever be in a place financially that I could afford to support a second household. My guess is that your kids are only thinking in terms of financial help, and you are really wanting emotional support and hands on practical help. When I was younger, it never really registered with me that my Mom would need someone to climb a ladder and change the security light bulb, or fix a leaky faucet, or replace a toilet valve. I guess I just thought she was invincible.
I love you too old man I wouldn't trade a day with you for a billion dollars.
there's a sub place that i know will make a killing where i live...the subway here is always.
full and this place offers much better fare; fresher ingredients and real cuts of meat.. anyway, it looks like the start up costs are around 100,000...has anyone here ever.
do banks lend money for these ventures?
I have worked with various franchise fast food operators in a variety of markets. The big name places all seem to do pretty well in general. I would say the most important factor is picking the right location for your operation. For example, the town I live in is not very supportive of restaurants in general - I've seen several come and go in the last 15 years, including a Wendy's. Subway however has done quite well - they are always busy. I guarantee that a "fancy" sandwich place wouldn't make it here though - the locals are cheap and seem to have a dislike for anything 'pretentious'. So look around at what seems to do well in a particular place before you commit to a location. Too much competition makes for a difficult environment, but too little can also be a negative. When I head out for lunch, I don't always know where I'm going - I just drive to the area where all the restaurants are and then decide. If you are off by yourself, you lose that traffic.
